Action Online Gaming

Action online gaming is very popular, especially for those who are too timid to try some of the more adventurous pursuits. Of course, not everyone dreams of sailing the high seas with a pirate crew, or of riding a motorcycle through a flaming hoop, but for those who do, action online gaming may well be the safer, saner alternative.
There are any number of these games available on a dazzling array of game sites- some free, some fairly cheap, and some more expensive, so it’s important to know what kind of action you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay to have it. Read over the requirements of the game’s site carefully, and then decide if it is right for you before signing up for any memberships. If there is a free trial period, all the better. Also, know if your computer will be able to handle the game itself, as some systems move too slowly to be of any use in a serious gaming situation.
Once you have established that your computer will be okay, you can decide what kind of action online gaming you will be doing and how often. (These factors will decide the value of a site membership.) If you only get to the computer once in a while, then it is simply not worth it to pay for a monthly membership- on the other hand, if you play often, it would make no sense at all to use a pay per play site either. Consider your frequency, then take the price you are quoted and divide the two numbers to get your per play price. For instance, if you play frequently, for example once or more per day for five days of the week, a $9.95 per month membership will equal out to less than fifty cents per day. The less you play though, the more the pay per play cost will be. Of course, if do only play the game once a month or less, than a pay per play or free site is the way for you to go.
Adventure online gaming can be exciting and fun, and may actually help with hand/eye coordination as well as mental health. Studies have shown that using your mind and hands at the same time forces your brain to exercise, which is just as important as physical exertion for staying healthy.
Adventure Online Games

How many people have fantasized about just getting up from their desk, heading down to the docks and setting sail on a tramp steamer? With the current economy, that number is growing in record numbers. Adventure online games lets you get away from the drudgery of real life without making everybody around you think that you have finally snapped. You simply log onto your computer, set up an account and embark on a whole new life, learning new skills and developing other sides of your own personality, some of which you did not know you even had!
But, it is not just tramp steamers or ships that allow you to find adventure online, you can trudge through forests, live on an island or take over the business world in your game. While these games do carry some rating information, if you are allowing your children to play one, it is advisable to play along for the first time to see what the game is about, and to be able to stop it if things become too violent or otherwise mature for their age group.
Another thing to keep in mind when playing these adventure online games is that they are merely a game. Do not allow things to take over your own real life, as these are merely fun hobbies, not a lifestyle.
While many of the games will allow you basic memberships for free, there are those that offer more exciting and rewarding experiences if you bump up to the premium account. For instance, in one, you can only have basic weaponry to take into battle with the free account and you have to base your experience on sheer luck against more skilled, more heavily armed opponents. Make sure that you understand the limitations of the basic, unpaid account before starting play. Also make sure that if you do choose to begin the premium account that you understand how much you will be paying, and whether that amount is a one time charge, a monthly charge or a per play charge. (There are such games and they can begin to really rack up the charges.)
Adventure online games are fun and can be exciting, and if they can teach you to be a better person in your real life as well, then all the better. Education is vital, and it should not really matter where you gain new skills as long as you gain them.
Arcade Online Games

Remember back in the day when you lived to hit the local arcade with your pocket bulging with quarters? You could not wait to get inside to play all of the most popular arcade games, standing in front of the huge machine plunking in quarter after quarter, thrilled by the lights and the sounds whether you were winning or losing.
The old arcades are, for the most part gone, the thyroidal games relegated to the basements of the collector and the lucky. Every now and then you will run across a small bank of arcade games in a pizza place or gas station, but there is an alternative available as close as your computer monitor. Arcade online games feature many of the same sounds and actions from the games you knew and loved as a youth, without the constant cost and the standing around in line for your turn! Of course, there are a few concessions and adjustments that you must make when playing the arcade online games, but they are not so major that they would affect the enjoyment of the game.
First, you must adjust to the difference in the size- even the larger monitors will not be comparable to the actual arcade game. The sound will remain unaffected, however. Unless you purchase a joystick or game controller for your PC, you will have to get used to new action controls, usually by using your arrow keys and space bar. That alone takes some practice. And of course, the advantage of an arcade online game is the ability to play again without it costing you another quarter. Not all of these games are available for free play, however, as some do require subscription to a gaming service, so consider how much and how often you and others in your household will be playing to decide whether this cost is worthwhile. Arcade online games are fun as a hobby, and if you factor in the cost per play, should be economical for you as well. (It should be a far sight cheaper than buying a single arcade game console, for example.)
How do you figure out the value of this subscription? Say that you play arcade online games once per day, for about an hour. You play two games on a regular basis during that hour. So, with that in mind, let’s go with a twenty-dollar per month game site subscription- with unlimited gaming. Following that formula, the cost per day for this subscription is a mere $1.40, considerably lower if there are more people who play these games as well. Not bad, considering the fact that you cannot put a price on fun.
Fantasy Online Games

A business man in Iowa slips out of his business suit, turns on his computer and becomes a vampire’s minion- a low level lackey at best, waiting for direction from his undead master. Is this man crazy? Or delusional? No, he is simply playing one of the literally hundreds of fantasy online games that are as near as your computer screen. Type the words “fantasy game” into your favorite search engine and you will see a wide array of games and alternate realities meant to appeal to nearly every taste. Many of them are rated for most ages, but many others are rated for teens and older, so be careful and monitor which games your children are playing. (Of course.)
Vampires not your cup of tea? There are so many other fantasy online games that you are sure to be able to find the right persona for yourself to relieve your tension, to work out aggressions, or to just fulfill other fantasies in a safe environment. The options are unlimited, and the characters and action are limited only be your own imagination. The sky is the limit in these fantasy online games, if you can dream it, then you can achieve it, if not in your real life, then online. Your computer opens a vast world of forests and trolls, or of more realistic characters and situations.
Some of the most popular fantasy online games do not feature vampires or other mythological characters, they are real people in a new world that needs to be built from the bottom up. Some of these are free, but others require a membership- to get more in the fantasy world, you have to pay more in the real world. One game features its own money and with it you buy land to build on, businesses to make more money and on and on just like in the real world. The free games are good places to start, especially if you have never played a fantasy online game before, but once you are ready for better graphics and more realistic situations, upgrading to a premium account might be your best option. Regardless of whether it is a free or paid subscription, you must keep in mind that these are fantasy games, and not let them take over your real life.
Some fantasy online games can serve as practice for real world situations, and the game itself can lead to friendships, and yes, even possibly romances. Most of these games also feature message boards where the players chat with each other, not only about their characters lives but also about their real situations as well.
